Made it to Hong Kong!

From San Diego to Hong Kong for $300 – you can’t beat that! I flew from San Diego to Vancouver 2 days ago and stayed a night in Vancouver, checked out the city a bit, tried to get an Indian visa and then continued on my 13 hour flight to Hong Kong.

I’ve only been in Hong Kong for a short while last night and a little bit this morning but it is completely different from Africa and the States too. People are literally EVERYWHERE! I guess the section I’m staying in, which is the northern Kowloon, more specifically Mong Kok is one of the most densely populated areas in the world. Something like 100,000 people per square kilometer live here and I don’t doubt that. At 11:00 pm the streets were absolutely packed on a Thursday night. It was pretty crazy to see all the lights and everything going on. It’s like all of Hong Kong is Times Square. I also noticed how many little electronics shops there were. Somehow everybody that was on the streets was in the market for a new cell phone.

That’s all for now, but more to come very soon!
