Scuba Diving and The Island of Koh Tao

My trip thus far has been loads fun and incredibly enlightening, however, I realized that there were many skills I hoped to learn in my life and that I could learn on this trip as well. One of those happened to be scuba diving. Diving had been a dream of mine, well that is up until I tried it out during summer camp I attended in middle school…

Hong Kong and What am I Eating?

It’s been difficult to figure out what I’m eating most of the time, and I’m not kidding! I’ve been trying to eat at smaller places that are more cultural. In fact I was just smelling my hands wondering what that smell was and I’m realizing it’s the smell of the fried tofu balls I had last night at a little dim sum shop.

Hong Kong Skyline Video

Here’s a quick video of the Hong Kong skyline during the day. I can’t embed HD video, but if you head over to Vimeo and play the video you’ll see it in HD. This video was taken near the Star Ferry pier in Kowloon (north side of Hong Kong island across the bay). The really big building that I had to pan up for is the Two-IFC tower. I love cities that are built where mountains come right up to the water…amazing!

Made it to Hong Kong!

From San Diego to Hong Kong for $300 – you can’t beat that! I flew from San Diego to Vancouver 2 days ago and stayed a night in Vancouver, checked out the city a bit, tried to get an Indian visa and then continued on my 13 hour flight to Hong Kong.

Roadtrip to California – Pt. I

3,000 miles in a Honda Accord from Chicago to Orange County. National parks at sunset, city nightlife and lots and lots of road. Pictures are now posted from the roadtrip I took with Matt out to California. We headed out to L.A. for separate reasons, I headed out as a springboard to Asia, Matt to find a job.
